My comment on Prime Minister wishing us "Ugadi Shubhakanshalu

As the Malaysian Telugu community celebrates their New Year or “Ugadi”, we are all once again reminded of the richness of our country’s heritage. In Malaysia, “Ugadi” is a major celebration in the Telugu community and is a time for families to come together to mark a new beginning.

In realising the 1Malaysia concept, Telugus play an important role in working with Government to address the issues faced by the people. The Government is constantly engaging directly with the people and implementing various programs to transform the country. In all our efforts, we are firmly committed to the principle that under the Malaysian sky, no community will be left out.

      It is very touching to see the Prime Minister of Malaysia wishing the Telugus "Ugadi Shubhakanshalu". In fact it is also nice to see that YAB would address the other issues.

      YAB Datuk Seri, other important issue that I could recall is that Telugu Astro channel as "No Telugu separate Channel for Telugus to view in our own mother tongue language".There are about 6 or 7 Indian channels but only 2 or 3 hrs allocated for Telugu programme per day.
