Launching of TAM Foundation 22/05/2011 @PWTC,Kuala Lumpur

About 80 students of Telugu Association of members' children were awarded with Medals, Certificates & Cash from RM500 to RM1500 for doing very well in their SPM/STPM.
It is Malaysian Telugus' 50 years old dream coming true besides the gathering itself at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur, which is the very first time in the TAM's history(my dreamt too). I believe it has all started, way back in 2006 when Dr.Achaiah Kumar, then Deputy President and me( Vice President & Education chairman) attending the Malayalees(Amma) Education Fund Dinner. WE were very impressed with their Amma Education fund system. After which, I proposed "Establishment of Telugu Education Fund" together with the bylaws at one of the TAM Executive Committee which was later approved at 36th Biennial Delegates' Conference held on 29 October, 2006 as to establish "Education Trust Fund for TAM". Later in 2007 the TAM new committee organised a Gala Dinner raising funds. However it was not registered for the reason that total fund has not reached 1 million. Later when TAM Mega Event "An Evening with Prime Minister was held on 8/10/2010 at PICC Putrajaya and RM 3 millions from PM had made it reality.

Though Andhra Association of Malaya which is now known as TAM was established in 1955 but it was in 2002 that Youth and Mahila sections were allowed .This was during Sri B Murthy BKM, PPN then the President and I being the Secretary General of TAM.

It was also the very first time that Sri B. Murthy BKM, PPN also appointed both the youth and mahila leaders as Vice Presidents of TAM as provided in the Rule 16 of our TAM Constitution.

Glad to note that both the sections are organising a number of events and working closely with TAM HQ.

"Today's youth is tomorrow's Leader.

Will TAM(mother)would also hold its 39th Biennial Delegates Conference at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.

Where is the support from Malaysian Telugus ?

‎************* Are Malaysian Telugu Dead or Alive? **************

As per our TAM official website telugus in malaysia are 300,000+ but when we screened a telugu movie in malaysia the people watching themovie are less than 1000.See the below statistics of PANJAA movie.Last week total 827 people watched in Federal Theater,Out of that Local Telugus are just 50 people. If you see the percentage 827/300,000=0.002756, itz not even 0.1 percent.

In other countries of the world though there is a less count they are encouraging telugu cinmea. But when it comes to malaysia we can say its in poor condition...Then where we are respecting our MOTHER TOUNGE...CULTURE....HERITAGE.....

We are spending a lot of money but when it comes to telugu movie we'll start calculating just for 15 RM.....Itz the only place many telugu people can gather frequently and you can make more friends

My dear friends on this occassion i'm requesting all my telugu friends please encourage telugu cinema in malaysia, the people who are releasing the movies are not enough rich to bear the loss every time. As they want to show the current trends among telugu people through movies...You encourage them just by spending 15 RM or still you felt price is high you request them but don't miss this rare opportunities...

By considering the price.....we are reducing the price on this weekend screening of PANJAA telugu movie......Itz just 12 RM...please come and watch on big screen and meet all our telugu friends
