 IT touches Telugu

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah today underlined the need for popularising Telugu language through the internet for the future generation for the Telugu speaking people world over. Inaugurating the three-day second International Telugu Internet Conference at Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University Campus here, Dr Rosaiah said it was everyone's responsibility to strive to protect the Telugu language and its popularity through the internet in the present globalisation era. He said the Telugu people all over the world should ask their children to talk in Telugu only in their houses. Dr Rosaiah released 15 Telugu Unicode fonts at the conference. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani said Telugu was one of the beautiful languages and it should reach the common people through the internet for the future generation. --UNI
