Great honour and Recognition to our Telugu community and Telugu Association of Malaysia.

Our beloved President of TELUGU ASSOCIATION MALAYSIA, Dr. S.Achaiah Kumar Rao has been bestowed with the prestigious ‘DATUKSHIP ’ title by our DYMM King on his highness 84th birthday celebrated 2nd June 2012.

This is a great honour and recognition to our Telugu community and Telugu Association of Malaysia.

He is the first President of TAM to receive "Datukship", while in office. Some of his outstanding achievements are:-Leading successful TAM delegation to meet the Government Andhra Pradesh(2005), Organising chairman of TAM Golden Jubilee at Genting Highlands( 2006), Moral camps for Telugu children(yearly), An Evening with the Prime of Malaysia(15,000 Telugus gathered/2010) and the formation of TAM Foundation(2011).

Besides Datuk Dr Achaiah, there are few other Telugus in either who have served TAM or for their own achievements in their fields were also awarded Datukship earlier are : Datuk Balaram (NLFCS MCIS), Datuk Dr A A Naidu (Alor Star), Datuk Dr Naidu, Datuk K R Naidu(ex first Telugu Senator & State Assembly member(MLA),Dato Seri Ramanujam, Datuk Seri Edmund Santhara Ramanaidu(Masterskill) Datuk A. Krishnamurthy (TAM past president) Dato K Prakash (TAM Selangor /Wilayah past chairman) Dato A Kanta Rao (TAM past Youth chief), late Datuk Jeganathan( MOF), Datuk Ramesh Rao Naidu, Datuk Dr Ramanaidu (Quest International University) , Datuk Demudoo
